This is Peaches' daughter Ginger Snap, who is no longer with our farm. She was very loving, tame and buttery soft to rub. Her fiber itself may represent the best quality in our female herd!! She worth a little more work just to have that devine very dense, buttery soft fiber!! About half a week after Amy brought Ginger to the farm, we sheared her and found she does currently have a zinc deficiency. But her blanket is beautiful to look at and touch and for "fiber alone" she is dreamy gal. Bolero or Kahlua rebred to her 5 wk after Snow. Ginger's skin issue due to an inherited deficiency in zinc (from Peaches) wouldn't clear up... so she is no longer on our farm. We tried several remedies...

Freedom had what looked like a heart attack, went into shock & died within about 1/2 hr. Examination afterward showed no gas in stomach. Her cria had no heartbeat, had great difficulty turning and probably caused dam and cria to bleed out from kicking long legs. She was "within" 1 1/2 months of having a beautiful white cria, who would have had 3 Hemingway grandparents (most were at least 4 sets grandparents back in past lineages). Pandora splintered her rear rt leg March 2019. Per multiple VETS saving her leg would be almost impossible w infection a certainty since she walked thru mud as well. Intravenous IV's for week or more, would only give her slight chance & she couldn't carry a cria to term. We miss her greatly as she was our Houdini, getting out of pasture & coming up to home to greet us! We had fixed this habit long ago! Like her grand-dam, Nuera, she pronked, jumped, was just too intelligent for her own good. She will be missed for a long, long time... always be in our thoughts with smiles for memories she's given us. This was a hard decision... thanks to our VETS for patience, kindness & honesty. Ame...

Lazy Susan has longest staple length I've seen yet on our females!!! Some come close, but she is heavy with fiber. Her fiber is buttery soft and crimps even though so long. She gets so heavy with fiber that we watch her carefully to be certain not heat exhausted. But she seems to keep high energy and deal with all that fiber very well. She is quite comical at times and playful. Now that we see that she has good skin health...better much less zinc deficient than her sister was...WE HAVE TWO PERFECT MALES FOR HER this year... either "Rayo's Snow" or "Triton's Lazer."
